Shoreline ArtSpace Series is a collaborative program of the Shoreline Arts Alliance and Women & Family Life Center featuring rotating, themed exhibits that celebrate the creativity, expression and voices of local visual artists. In addition to providing the artists with free gallery space to showcase their work, the project aims to encourage visitors to Guilford’s historic district and help familiarize people with the missions and programs of the Shoreline Arts Alliance and Women & Family Life Center. Under the direction of Jennifer Newton, artist, teacher and former owner of Shoreline Art Gallery the current curated exhibition titled Fall Favorites, features six local artists. These artists are: Claudine Burns-Hamden, Stephen Harris-New Haven, Lisa LoRicco-Guilford, Brendan Loughlin-Guilford, Marcus Maronn-Guilford and Stephen Plaziak-Guilford. It can be viewed at the Carriage House Gallery at Women & Family Life Center, 96 Fair Street, Guilford, CT by appointment. Please call 203-453-3890 or 203-458-6699 to schedule a visit. There will be an artists’ reception on Thursday, November 3 from 5:30 – 7pm. Works represent many different media including watercolor, oil, photography, pastak, and sculpture.
