One of our nation's oldest Universities was founded in the early 1700s with a generous gift from Elihu Yale of nine bales of goods, 417 books, and a portrait and arms of King George I. Today eight schools for advanced education are within a convenient drive of the Guilford Green. They include: Albertus Magnus College (New Haven) Many of these schools have part-time and commuter programs in both liberal arts and technical specialties.
