* Pat Ketchale was a Guilford police officer for 25 years, rising to the rank of detective sergeant until illness overcame him. An avid golfer and sports enthusiast, he lost his gallant battle with cancer in August, 1997 at age 48.
Known as a keen investigator, he received numerous commendations and citations for his efforts. He was honored by both the American Legion and the Connecticut General Assembly for his police work and service to the community.
Friends of Pat and the Guilford Police Benevolent Association have started this tournament to raise funds to support a scholarship in his memory.

Project KidCare®ID
The Guilford Rotary Club and Guilford Police host project KidCare photo ID . This event is for children age 3 through Grade 4. This project provides parents with personal safety IDs of their children in the event that their child is ever missing. Project KidCare is a national effort developed by Polaroid Corporation in conjunction with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Guilford Police Explorers @ KidCare®
Each year we run an event in conjunction with the "Little Folks Fair" on the town green.

KidCare® ID with "The Little Folks Fair" - On the Green. Check back for next years date!
Children receive, free of charge:
Standardized Photo and Record Book so that parents can have current information about their child on hand in case their child is lost or missing.

The past events were a great success and we are happy to announce that this single event is even more successful. During one event on the green over 550 children we photographed and given their personal safety ID booklets.

Although the KidCare® event for this year is over, if you missed it and want to get personal safety ID's for your children, you may contact Officer Maisano at the police department to make arrangements to have your child photographed and receive your personal ID safety package.

Call 203-453-8061 and ask for Officer Maisano or leave a voice mail message for him.
