               WTC Attack

All the members of the Guilford Police Department are deeply affected by the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attack on The World Trade Center and Pentagon. Our heart felt sympathy and support goes out to the innocent victims of these attacks. Many of these victims were our brothers and sisters of the NYPD, NYFD and Emergency Services that responded to the attack.

Words on a web page cannot begin to express the deep emotions that are felt by everyone in the public service community at the loss of life of our Brothers & Sisters who responded to this tragedy and lost their lives saving others. We morn their loss and those of all the victims in these attacks and extend our sympathy to all the friends and families of the victims.

We pray for those lost and missing, we pray for the rescuers safety and resolve to continue their efforts in finding survivors and victims, we pray for our leaders.

We pray for the United States of America, the greatest country in the world. Our country is the greatest because of each American's individual freedoms and our ability to come together in times of tragedy and danger as one voice and one power. To put aside our individual differences and stand behind our country to protect our way of life.
